- Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra Nnamdi Kanu has revealed the reasons for his blatant court disobedience
- He says President Buhari’s refusal to obey courts’ order gave him the same right to do so
- He however insisted that members of IPOB will not participate in the forthcoming governorship election in Anambra
Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has highlighted his reasons for disobeying court order without fear.
The IPOB leader said he is only following in the footsteps of President Buhari in disobeying court order.
He insisted Buhari had not been held accountable for flouting all the court orders to free him, El-Zakzaky, Igbo musician Bight Chimezie and others.
“Where were they when Buhari breeched court order upon court upon court order to release me?
“Why didn’t anybody go to Buhari in Daura or Aso Rock to ask him why he failed to obey court orders to set me free, to release Dasuki, El-Zakzaky and others?”
When asked about his comments on churches owned by Yoruba people, Kanu also told journalists that he already has a second thought about the Yoruba people.
He said: “Yes, because they (Yoruba people) have changed.”
Meanwhile, he maintained that members of IPOB in Anambra will not participate in the coming governorship election in the state.
Reacting to a question on the consequences of the order, he said: “How can there be bloodshed when you seat in your house and enjoying Ofe nsala on 18th of November 2017, how is that possible?”
“There’ll be no movement, no cats no dogs no chickens outside. There’ll be nothing,” he added.
